Why the MOE and the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports (MCYS) do not want to work together? Probably the same bureaucratic mindset of keeping out of each other's turfs. At best perhaps one can say that, both probably do not know what the other is doing.

"Instead of the written examinations, they recommended “bite-sized, topicals tests”! The same applies for the many running and teaching in the schools in Singapore today "

This is very true the teachers actually felt there will be more stress than exams at the end. However, I actually feel its better, Iguess only parents who have mindset like me will agree. B'cos alhamdullilah... I had never put pressure on my children to perorm and never prepare them for tests ...to me its the everyday learning that counts and yet my children do perform well - I guess that is why I don't feel the pressure. I wonder why MOE and MCYS do not want to work together and use the early childhood curriculum that for the P1 and P2. In which AA is fully integrated in the pre-school curriculum basically bcos there is no major exams. Hmmm ...maybe they should break the sch years like from 5-8, 9-12 & 13-16...
