Amran Noordin (Senior Consultant)
Amran is an experienced educational consultant who has worked to improve schools in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia and Singapore. In Singapore, he had worked as an officer in the Educational Technology Division (ETD) of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore. For four years, he had acted as a consultant and trainer to schools in Singapore on the implementation of the MOE’s MasterPlan for IT in Education (MPITE). He had been a member of teams involved in international surveys (SITES and OECD) on ICT use in educational institutions in Singapore. He has also assisted schools in Indonesia in their move to be educational institutions of international standards.

I tried flipped learning with my students last year, but the problem was in making sure the students actually watched the videos. Many didn’t and only watched it in class, making the lesson flow very awkward. I think the issue was that Singapore students simply are not used to this method and exams were nearing so I didn’t persist. What was your experience with flipped learning?
